The Strategy

Electronics recycling has more nuance than meets the eye. What seems like a straightforward, “You give us your old IT equipment and we make it go away,” has many more legislative and administrative layers than you’d expect.

When Kahawai first started working with ViaTeK, they were a brand that had earned a national reputation on word of mouth alone. Knowing that evolving into a company with a better digital presence would help the sales funnel, ViaTeK approached Kahawai for honest, reliable, ongoing marketing services.

Our first order of action was to tailor our recommendations to ViaTeK’s budget. Kahawai believes in offering scalable and impactful marketing with fair and transparent pricing.

Since starting our program with ViaTeK in 2021, the brand has grown in a visible and impactful way.

Brand Refresh

ViaTeK was a diamond in the rough, but the brand needed a lift. From the logo, to the website, to the visual identity, we helped modernize ViaTeK's brand to make it feel sharp and appealing.

Brand Expansion

With ViaTeK's core business booming, Kahawai was approached to help tap into an available market in a format ViaTeK hadn't leveraged yet. Online, self-serve electronics recycling. As an already-established business electronics recycling provider, ViaTeK now sought the opportunity to expand their services into an online platform that let residents and/or small businesses with lower quantity electronics recycle online.

And thus, shop.viateksolutions.com was born. Launched in 2024, this program has the same standards as ViaTeK Solutions, just packaged a little differently (literally). Kahawai led the strategy, design, and execution of this online platform and have recently initiated the advertising efforts in SEO, PPC, and social media.

Email Marketing

Kahawai sends weekly emails to BMI’s list of 12,000 subscribers. In addition to creative, we also worked in the backend to retroactively segment the audience based on intent and preference. Coupling targeting with introducing A/B testing and monthly reports, we elevated BMI’s email marketing efforts on all fronts.

Operations Support & Marketing Management

From managing influencer marketing to shaping fulfillment processes for new services, we provided ViaTeK Solutions with operational management and support that other agencies typically shy away from.

With our flexible approach to budgeting, things like platform selection, vendor coordination, and operational troubleshooting was available to ViaTeK at no additional cost. Kahawai helped ViaTeK scale and adjust their marketing efforts to new programs without missing a beat.
